Carl Hildebrandt

Carl’s Biography

Carl was born in Winnipeg and moved to Saskatoon at the age of 5, where he discovered his passion for soccer (he did try t-ball but found it too boring!). He continues to play Men’s/Co-Ed to this day.

Carl considered himself a player and not a coach until his 2 sons started to take an interest in the game. He felt like he had more to offer than just being a parent on the side lines. He saw a need and wanted to pass on his knowledge and passion for the game.

He began his coaching career 4 years ago as an assistant coach and, in that time, progressed to Head Coach of the U13B2, U17B3, U17B2, and U13BP. Along the way, Carl has taken the U17B3, U17B2 and the U13BP to City Championships.

Carl currently holds his C License, future plans are to take his B License and to continue develop players within the zone. He would also like to mentor up and coming coaches.

As a coach, Carl’s goal is for the players to have the confidence to show their skills and make their own tactical decisions in the game.
