Adele’s Biography

Adele was born and raised in Saskatoon; she started playing soccer at the age of 4 for Silverwood Heights Association, she moved to Hollandia Club at age 10 where she played for two years for Owen Juninville until SUSC formed an all-girls city wide team where she played under Tom Lapointe. She continued to play for SUSC from under 12 to women’s representing our Province in club nationals numerous times and women’s nationals in 2002 for coaches Tom Lapointe and Huw Morris.

Adele has coached community teams in Silverwood Heights, River Heights and SUSC from 1996 to present. In 1996 David Jankins took her as his apprentice assistant coach for the under 12 Provincial Sask team and during that time she starting running technical camps and clinics for SUSC with Yosif. Adele was awarded Youth Coach of the year 2018 in Saskatchewan Soccer.

Adele has represented Saskatchewan as an athlete and coach and has been mentored by the best coaches to come into our Province and must pay respect and give thanks to; Huw Morris, Percy Hoff, Tom Lapoint, Yosif, David Jankins, Owen Juninville, Bob Maltman, Keith Pritchard, Mike Hudson, Terrol Russell and Jason Jones just to name a few. They have helped her grow and guide her into the person she is today. Adele would like to thank her amazing husband and three sons that allow her to follow her dreams and goals.

Giving back to the sport that gave me so much understanding, adapting to the ever changing and evolving game makes the excitement of growth and knowledge so addicting. Through passion, commitment and a true love for the game it makes it easy to share and guide our future towards a promising positive learning environment and supports experience of freedom to express and challenge ourselves every day.

Adele is hoping to continue to push forward to attain her National B part 2 and level 4 coaching certifications in the near future and be part of the 2021 Canada Games coaching staff.

Philosophy
I strongly believe having female mentors for female development helps build confidence, strength, understanding and empowerment. We need to continue developing and supporting female growth in all aspects of the game, a cradle to grave approach at all levels for all ages. Enjoyment and passion being the focus in a non threatening environment that inspires growth and creativity.
