Huw Morris (Bio)

Personal Information:

Huw Morris is the current Technical Director of coaching and player development for the Saskatoon United Soccer Club. Huw Morris originates from Swansea South Wales Great Britain where he played soccer in the Welsh League of Wales. He came to Saskatoon in 1976, where he started his as a player for Saskatoon United Soccer Club (originally an all men's team). Huw is one of the few coaches who not only played at a Premier level in Saskatchewan but was also selected to represent Saskatchewan at a select level in the All Star League.

Huw took this advanced playing experience and applied it to coaching. In the early 90's he formed a team he called "Hollandia", formed from players recruited from various areas of the city. He then expanded on that team and helped form the Hollandia International Soccer Club.

He then changed his focus on his two daughters who also shared his same passion for soccer. While coaching his daughters he was instrumental in forming the Saskatoon United Eagles, at that time a total female youth club. He then became the technical director of Saskatoon United Soccer Club transforming the club into a club for both males and female youth players. With the support of his wife and two daughters, this is truly where Huw could express both his love of the game and his passion for sharing his knowledge and experience in the form of coaching.
